  I have had a moderate to severe hearing loss for over 35 years and have had NHS hearing aids as well as private ones from several different firms. I moved to Devon and consulted Colin to see if he could improve on the private aids I was using which were not very much better than the NHS ones even though when I purchased them a couple of years previously they were top of the range. I was very impressed at the first consultation for many reasons. He looked at my audiogram and the existing aids I was using and said he could improve. Having seen many different audiologists over a very long period I can say with confidence that he is in a different league. As well as being an expert in his field he is independent and therefore not tied in to any one particular manufacturer . This means he is able to choose from the whole range of aids available taking account of budget and suitability. I had Oticon aids fitted a little over a year ago and am absolutely delighted with them. Listening to conversation, especially when in a car, was very difficult and now I can hear incredibly well. They have made a huge difference to my life. Once your aids have been fitted that is not the end of the story as the aftercare service is first class.
