  On a visit from Kent to family in Sidmouth this weekend our car broke down. The AA were called at 10.20am and arrived at 10.40am. The patrolman diagnosed that the alternator was U/S and arranged to have the alternator replaced at the Honiton Garage. To get us to the garage, a temporary battery was fitted and we followed the AA van to the Honiton garage 20 minutes away where the batteries were swapped back over. As they were unsure as to which style of alternator was to be fitted the garage had arranged for 3 different types to be ready for our arrival. By 1.20pm the work was complete and we were on our way again. Thank you to the AA, Honiton Garage and their suppliers of alternators for turning what could have been a disaster into just an inconvenience, at a lower than expected price and on a Saturday morning.
